What Causes Nail Problems?
Common causes of nail problems include trauma, infection and various skin diseases, such as eczema and psoriasis.
Nails are made of a protein called keratin. Keratin is used in different ways by the body to make several tissues, such as hair and skin.

What You Can Do To Help Your Toenails
· Practice good hygiene and maintain your skin with a moisturiser
· Quit Smoking
· Don’t bite or tear you nails, cut them with clippers
· If your nails are too thick to cut, see a podiatrist for help
· Wear good fitting shoes
Abnormal changes to your toenails should be checked with a doctor or poditarist.
